My first ever Twinchie!!!

I was going to try and take part in the Show us your Twinchies Challenge Blog last time but just never found the time so I just had to have a go this time! It was actually great fun making something so small!!

The theme is the challenge is summer so I've gone with a summery butterfly and the photo was taken outside in the sun too :D

this is what I used and how I did it....
The brown card is from some packaging I punched out the leaf and used it as a mask then stamped over the whole thing with versamark. I then used one of my brand new smeared ink rubber stamps  from the Shadow things set, It's a gorgeous little flower. I then used a piece of ribbon from Prima for the top and the butterfly was fussy cut out of the blossoms and butterflies stack from DCWV.

Vintage Love Canvas

I made this canvas with inspiration from the challenge at http://pinspirationalchallenges.blogspot.co.uk/ this week.

The photo inspiration is this

I wanted to play with an 8" x 8" canvas that I brought today. I started with painting it with cream acrylic paint then when it was dry I started to layer the paper which is from the Prima Almanac collection.

The picture is one I have in my collection I don't remember where it came from though.

I then used lace from my stash, some wild orchid crafts flowers and the dangling charm was an ear ring that I picked up in a box of broken jewelry from the car boot.

burned flower, and a little Thursday Inspiration for the Tuesday Alchemy Challenge

I seem to have been on a craft marathon today! I've made cards for teachers, Cards for my eldest son who will be 12 tomorrow!!! I've made notebooks and now a flower :)

I really love making these flowers they are so easy and fun and I thought it would be a good way to share some extra inspiration for the Tuesday Alchemy challenge this week.

There are 100's of tutorials on how to make these flowers so I won't be doing one or going into details unless someone really wants me to.

Everything I have used came from my ever growing stash, I am trying to use up some things that I have had for a long time so expect some projects coming up showing what I've done with all my scraps and old craft stash :)

So this is the flower, I really love the sparkly button I have used in the middle of this, it gives it just that little bit of bling :D

Tilda 8"x8" card topper with MB'sTreasurista Trims

I know you must all wonder what is going on going from my previous post to this one. I know you tend to find that most people have a style and that is mainly what they do, but I don't really have a certain style or theme I like to work with, I love to make shabby chic, vintage, girly pink things covered in flowers, but I also like to make things with zombies, and dark scary looking things and sometimes even more daring things that aren't at all suitable for children.

This post is one of the more girly ones. I wanted to have a play with some of the new gorgeous trims I got from http://www.zibbet.com/MBsTreasurista.

I pulled the image out of the little draw I keep all my coloured stamps in and got the 8" x 8" piece of card stock from my First edition paper Desert blooms stack. the cream card stock that is on the next layer came from penniesworth (link on the right) and the light brown piece of patterned paper is from the lost and found collection from MME. The little bracket to the left of Tilda has been cut from my DCVW mariposa stack.

At the top of the page I have used some of the box pleated ribbon trim from MB'sTreasurista http://www.zibbet.com/MBsTreasurista/artwork?artworkId=851945, with a small satin flower either end the flowers were from Wild Orchid Crafts. The lace at the side of Tilda is called Ivory Picket Fence and it is also fom MB'sTreasurista it was a free gift from Misty and I LOVE it! it is such good quality it will be the first thing int he basket in my next order http://www.zibbet.com/MBsTreasurista/artwork?artworkId=787958. On top of that I used some of the really sweet leaf trim in light pink http://www.zibbet.com/MBsTreasurista/artwork?artworkId=915823.

It was all finished off with some Wild Orchid craft flowers and some card Candi.

It's blog hop time again!! This hop is all about the heat, be it using heat embossing, hot glue, fire images, or sexy hot!

I just couldn't decide what I was going to do for this, so it has ended up being a very last minute project.

Well here it is!

To start I used the smeared ink digi stamp called tease http://www.smearedink.com/zombie-pinups-tease/ I cloned the stamp into an image with flames to make it look like she was standing in the flames, I've not really done much in the way of digi work so this did take me about half hour to do. When it had printed I coloured the stamp in with promarkers (you didn't think I coloured on my pc too did you?? I'm no where near at that stage yet lol).

So image is printed and coloured time to layer it up, I put it onto a piece of grey card stock from a DCWV stack which I had ran through my texture boutique with a grunge stripe embossing folder. I used an oval cut out in black card stock and a piece of cream from the DCWV stack. To finish it off I added some buttons, a skull cabochon, some black flower trim from wild orchid crafts and some flowers also from wild orchid crafts.

Now off you pop to see what the rest of these amazingly talented ladies have been up to, dress light the temperature is gonna get hot!!!

MB's Treasureista Haul

Tuesday Alchemy Challenge Button, Button, Whose got a button?

Hello to everyone out there in craft land, I am having a super Tuesday, The sun is actually shining (I kid you not there is Sun today in my part of England!!) I got to see my brand new little Nephew last night who is just gorgeous and there is only 3 days left of the week now before my boys will be off school for 6 weeks and we can start our holiday madness :D So this weeks Challenge at Tuesday Alchemy is to make any crafty project you like as long as it's got buttons, super easy right? If you need some inspiration please have a look at what the design team have made this week http://tuesdayalchemy.blogspot.co.uk/
I have made some Button flowers this week and decorated a vase to put them in. The vase is a glass one from Ikea that I covered with alcohol inks then coloured a rose in from Robyn's fetish who are our sponsors for this week and are giving away 5 digi stamps from their store! then to finish it off I added a ribbon and sticky brad. The inside has been filled with material to hide the flower stems and the flowers were made with buttons, paper blooms, floristy wire and raffia. I have made a video showing this piece with a tutorial on how to make the flowers. I hope you have enjoyed what I've made for you this week now please head over to the challenge blog to see the other wonderful creations and show us what you have come up with this week!! Tuesday Alchemy Challenge No Work Just play

I am so excited about this post as it is my first project as a member of this fantastic design team.

Our sponsor this week is Sassy Studio designs Who is giving our winner 4 digital images from their store!!

The theme of this weeks challenge is "No work Just play", for my project I have made a card, I've used the gorgeous image called Ashlee's Prom I've coloured the Image in with Promarkers and Copics and then used some papers from K & Co and the Desert Blooms First Edition Papers.

When I was making the layers I have embossed one piece and distressed another on the edges before going over it with worn lipstick distress ink. The ribbon and lace are from my stash and the gems are from a pack I brought from the works.

I have used some blooms from Dovecraft the bottom one was white and I have sprayed it with Pink Taffy Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist I then attached them all with a brad from my stash. The Play ticket is from Tim Holtz and the little rose I've used as a memo pin is from wild orchid crafts.

So that is my first ever DT card and all that is left to do is go to the site and see what the other members have created to inspire you and I look forward to seeing all your entries.
