Scrap it up challenge at Smudgy Antics

Welcome back for another challenge with Smudgy Antics!

The challenge theme this fortnight is
Using at least one stamped image (real or digi) and following the rules posted on the left sidebar, we at Smudgy Antics challenge you to use your leftovers. It's the green thing to do. Don't let anything go to waste! You can use your paper scraps, but feel free to use leftover wrapping paper, paper rolls, gift bags, gift boxes and more from the holiday season.

You can stick with paper crafting or you can go three dimensional. The more creative, the better. We love it when you guys and gals think outside the box!

BTW, starting today, you will always have 2 WEEKS to submit your projects. Yep. We are changing the weekly challenges to fortnight challenges to enable more of you busy folks time to play.

For my piece I have made a mixed media canvas using smeared ink rubber stamps from the as Death set, for more information about smeared ink Rubber (which is some of the best quality rubber I have ever used) have a look here

I painted the background first with black gesso and different acrylic paints to get the effect I wanted, I was going for the feel of flames.

I then started to stick on pieces of mesh fabric scraps and layered up some red tissue paper that was used to wrap up a Christmas present.

When all of it was dry I stamped on the images with with archival ink, just realised that I also used a stamp from the Quoth the Raven rubber set too :)

I do hope you will come and join us for this challenge, don't forget you can come and join us over at the smeared and smudged forum too where you will find lots of inspiration and fun monthly challenges.

12 Days of Creepmas final day

Blog Roll

I hope everyone has enjoyed looking through all the fab creepmas projects that have been shared through this hop. I have had great fun making this last piece I have used the GDT challenge on the smeared and smudged forum as inspiration for this Tag. I used some die cut gears to use as a mask then covered the tag with molding paste, once it was dry I painted it with black gesso then when that was dry rubbed it over with gold rub and buff. The stamp is from smeared ink and was colloured with promarkers and the senti was cut from a piece of graphic 45 paper stack.

Day 10 of smeared and smudged 12 days of creepmas

Blog Roll

I don't know about the rest of you, but I don't know if I am coming or going right at the moment, just 2 more days then school is out for 2 weeks and I can hopefully find some time to sit and put my feet up! (yeah right like that's ever going to happen lol)

Today I have got a digi page to share with you, I was trying to get a nice photo taken of my boys but would they co-operate! first off I had one sulking, then they were pushing each other every time I went to click, then of course as boys do they started taking it in turns pulling faces I finally got this one, which really captured the mood as by this time we were all laughing. The frame it is in is from the Glam Vamps set from smeared Ink and it can be found here and the Tree is from the gothic Christmas set which can be found here

I hope you will hop along and see what everyone else has been making :)

New challenge at Smudgy Antics and day 9 of 12 days of creepmas.

I am afraid my piece for today isn't exactly very inspiring just as soon as I am feeling better I will make something else for inspiration for this challenge as it will be running for 2 weeks rather than just one.

Head over to the smudgy Antics blog for full details of this weeks challenge. This is also my day 9 piece for 12 days of creepmas.

I have painted a paper mache sleigh then stamped out the parcels from the gothic Christmas set from smeared ink. Each of the parcels along with the sleigh are coloured with the challenge colours.

Here is the blog roll for those who are playing along with the 12 days of creepmas.

on the 8th day of Creepmas I do give to you...

Blog Roll
Susan S.

First off I would like to say thank you so much for all the lovely comments, it is so nice to read them :)

I have got another tag to show today, I have used a range of things to make this Tag, first I embossed the snowflakes but as the folder didn't cover the whole tag I decided to leave the bit on the bottom flat and covered that with a piece of Graphic 45 paper. I then rubbed over it all with distress ink and then silver rub and buff. The senti is from the smeared ink rubber set skelly Chrismtas. The skull is one of the smeared ink digis called skull front from the anatomy 101 set and it can be found here . The hat is from the Octopode factory  and the background is from a decopage sheet.

Smudgy Antics Distress it Challenge

What a fab challenge we have got for you this week at Smudgy Antics. We want you to make a distressed project, it can be a card, a tag, an altered projet, pretty much anything you like as long as you distress it and it is stamped somewhere either rubber or digi.

I have used Shift My gears from smeared ink for my main image and the papers are kanban and daisy trails, the gears are Tim Holtz and the compas stamp is from Kanban.  I coloured the image with Promarkers then distressed it with Tim Holtz distress inks.
I do hope you will come and join us this week.

New Quest at Quoth the Raven

Thy current Quest shall be thusly......... POE, POE, POE - it's Christmas  LoL
Thou art to create for the Master a card fit for the forthcoming festivities - however - they canst only be suitable for his dark and stormy nature. Rile him not with fluffies and smushies and puke rendering cuteness, lest he hie to thy Realm to smite thee. !!!

Oh I do wish I had a way with words like Ike does, but alas I don't.

This is my offering for this months challenge.

I have used an image from the octopode factory to which I added a Santa hat I found on the internet to get Poe in the festive mood. I have given him some wings using the raven wings rubber stamps from Smeared Ink. The snowflakes were made by sticking some tin foil to a piece of card stock, embossing it with a snowflakes folder then covering it with black gesso, when it was starting to dry I rubbed away the gesso from the raised parts, then cut around the snowflakes. The background was found on the net and the sentiment is from a sheet of Graphic 45 paper.

If you would like to join us and create a dark Christmas Card fit for the Master himself them please place your entries here

Octopode factory challenge

I thought I would make something to enter into the octopode challenge this week as I was needing a distraction from all the other things I have to do lol

I have used one of the new octopode rubber stamps I got recently and painted it with tattered angels glimmer glaze. The background is a page from a book that I sprayed with glimmer mists then doodled on when it was dry. The words I printed with my label maker.

I am entering this into the following challenge

Today I am going to share something that isn't exactly creepy...but it is certainly different and I am sure you won't be coming across any cards like this on main stream blogs lol However if you are easily offended or under that age of 18 I suggest you to not scroll down and look at what I have made......

Last warning before it's too late...........

Ok here it is, I have used an image from one of my fav smeared ink sets and it can be found here
