It's been ages since I made a 'cute' card but I just fancied colouring in this little mermaid...I stamped her out a while ago so I will have to hunt through my rubber stamp box to find out where se is from and I will update as soon as I do.
I coloured her in with promarkers and used papers from K & co, the ribbons and fibres were from my stash.
I kow it's not my teams turn this week to make a piece for Delicious Doodles, but I was inspired by the theme and as I went to the beach at the weekend and gathered loads of shells and driftwood I had to make something :) The image is from Delicious Doodles and is called beach huts, I coloured it in with promarkers and put it into the frame which I then covered with the drift wood and some shells.
This fortnight at Smudgy Antics, we want to see who has the GUTS and the BLOODY SPARKLE-TUDE to play along with our challenge. Our hearts will beat outside of our chests with pride, glistening in the light of the glittering sun. The theme this fortnight is
Hello everyone! Time for another challenge here atLeft of Center! This fortnight we are being sponsored byLacy Sunshine! I love her images and such a sweet person too! Be sure to stop by her blog and join in her challenge too! She kindly let us pick out images to use, and we had a lot of fun creating with them! This is the card that I made, I colouredi n the image with promarkers and used different papers from my stash to create the layering.
It's time for another members blog hop over at Smeared and Smudged and this month we are getting dirty, Vintage dirty that is! Please go and take a look at all the fabulous projects everyone has made. If these the work of these lovely ladies inspires you to make something with a Dirty Vintage theme then please also check out my current Smeared and Smudged Challenge on Facebook
For my piece I have used one of the digis from the Femdom set called My pet.
I coloured the image in with promarkers then rubbed all over it with distress ink. The bottom layer of paper is from delicious doodles and is called rose and thistle papers and can be found here the other papers are Bazzill cardstock that I have scrunched up and inked all over, I got in a bit of an inky mess making this but I certainly enjoyed it :D
I coloured her in with promarkers and added some glossy accents and a gem on her necklace.
On the tag I have used a piece of cardboard that I cut with a die, some ribbon, a border die cut from cardstock then covered with foil before running through the embosser, I then used black paint on it and rubbed so much off just to take the shine off the foil. To finish it off I used a couple of cherry blossom flowers and a metal charm. I am using this piece in the junk funk challenge over at smeared and smudged.
It's time for a new challenge over at Left of Center! you have 2 weeks to get your enteries in so plenty of time to get creating, this time we want to either see the LOC themes which can be found on the blog here or we want to see ribbon and twine on your mainstream creations. Our sponsor for this challenge is Rick St Dennis who's image I have used in my creation.
I covered my tag in paints then used gesso to attach some pieces I cut from some design papers. The image I used is called euro girl Gloria Glowbug and I coloured it in with promarkers.
It's my teams week to make the DT pieces for the Delicious Doodles challenge this week and the theme is more than one fold. I don't tend to do fancy cards so I had to have a little think about this one. I finally decided to make a pocket gift book.
This book is pretty easy to make and just uses one sheet of 12" x 12" paper or cardstock. I used a sheet of K&Co double sided design paper. The image I have used is called Marina and she can be found here
I forgot to post this when I made this! It is a tag I made using the new dragon dreams digi from Delicious Doodles. I have painted it with distress inks, the backing paper is actually wall paper, a while ago I picked up a load of designer wall paper sample books and I just love the snake skin one :D
It's bee a week already since the challenge over at smudgy antics has been running! That was one fast week, I have got a little bit of inspiration for you if you are struggling for ideas.
The challenge is to make a project that is colourful but you cannot use markers or pencils. At first I went into total panic mode, but then I stought about it and realised I often make things without markers and pencils. There are so many ways to make something colourful, there is paint, ink, paper piecing, perfect pearls..the list is endless!
I have made 2 tags, the first one I have used pieces of coloured paper for the back ground, then randomly stamped all over it with my ink pads, once it was dry I stamped the image from smeared inks Carnies set.
The second piece I hav paper pieced, I painted the background of the tag first then printed the image out onto different coloured papers, cut out and stuck on the bits I wanted, agan the image is from Smeared ink and this time is from the candy is dandy set. The senti was stamped with dovecraft alphabet stamps.
